Preferred Communication Method not merging

When I go to merge a contact the preferred communication method field is not merging.

Hi. Your profile says you are using 4.1. Can you try to confirm this bug on the CiviCRM demo: http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/ ?

If it's not there, perhaps you could upgrade. :)

I just confirmed this is an issue on the demo version. I saw there was two magic school bus organizations. I made sure only one of them had a preferred communication of email and the other did not. When I merged them the preferred communication method was deleted. I am having this same issue with custom fields as well.

Thanks I changed the one in the modules and that seemed to fix the preferred communication method. Is the other one in the custom folder for the custom merges that are not changing. For some reason I cannot find that path, when I go to the civicrm folder I do not see a custom folder there.

The preferred communication is now merging correctly. But I also have a custom field and when I try to merge the custom field that is still not merging. Is there another fix for the custom field?
