Can I BCC the offline receipt?
October 26, 2012, 02:34:10 pm
I would like to BCC an offline contribution receipt. The idea is that we get donations mailed to use or handed to us at events and when we manually enter them into the system we check the box to email them a receipt. But with this option the receipt is not BCC-ed (like an online receipts are when I add addresses in the BCC section).

Does anyone know of a way to bcc offline receipts?

I took a quick peek in some of the php files in the mailings folder but not really sure which ones control sending the email. I'd be open to an overall BCC if that's all I could get. But I need some help figuring where to add it!

1. Might want to read the developer book: http://book.civicrm.org/developer/ to see what files are involved with any specific url

If memory serves me right, we dont give too many options when asked if "an email needs to be sent", so you might need to introduce a form element(s) etc

2. You can potentially also do it via the mail alter hook and add a 'bcc' header element for all message templates of a specific type. check the hook docs on the wiki
