Can I have an event that lists only a start/end date without the time?

This question was asked and not answered here http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php?topic=12888.0 also. I think you would have to customize the template to achieve that. That would be the only way as far as I know.

Yes, I saw that posting. All day events seem as thought they would be common enough to allow leaving the time field blank or having a check box for ommiting the time. Drupal has such a feature.

Any chance you can contribute code to add this feature to CiviCRM? should not be too hard and will make a good first project

the developer book: http://book.civicrm.org/developer/ can get you started

Hello bstackhouse,

While you can't have an all day event, I've been using a fairly simple work around. I set the start date and time to reflect the time I want/expect attendees to begin arriving (i.e. 10/31/2012, 9:00 AM). then I make certain to mention in the event description that it is an all day event, using terms like "9AM until ???". I haven't had any issues, and it helps cut down on Early arrivals.

Cheers,
Jason
