Drupal demo: Parts in English, most in German

Most parts of the Drupal demo display in German while some are in English. (I've never seen this on any other site, and I assume my default browser language is English.)

Definitely not a good way to "sell" CiviCrm.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The demo language was changed, so a German speaker could view the demo... good sales tool for German speakers :)

The language can be changed here:

FYI, most of the demo.civicrm.org/drupal site is still in German. I'm happy to navigate it, but many people will probably struggle quite a lot. Might make sense to set up two demo sites if the German is still used too?

The demo currently allows anyone to change the display language to another available "translation". We're discussing some ideas internally for how to allow non-English speakers to try out a demo in their native language while not causing confusion for others. Hopefully we'll have something figured out shortly.

When does the demo get restarted.  Currently the joomla demo is in Chinese, and I can't see where to get it back to english.  I'd like to show this to some colleagues in joomla, but not sure how to get it back.

Hello Tom, thinkling, fmoses, and anyone who needs this information in the future;

The demo site is an excellent resource, and I personally am glad that it exists. I have experienced many instances where the language was changed to a language I am not fluent in. I took the liberty of creating a cheat sheet (if you will), that "counts" the options:

1. On the Admin bar across the top, choose the second tab from the right. This will open the "Administer" dropdown menu.

2. Hover over the 4th option down. This Will expand another menu to the right, Select the first option.

3. in the first dropdown, find the language you are looking for and select it.

There are 2 buttons just above and to the left of this menu, click the leftmost button, and you should be set.

Cheers,
Jason
