Upgrade error: Could not find valid value for qrid
November 01, 2012, 10:20:00 pm
Got the following error upgrading Civi to 4.2.6 from 4.1

When running the upgrade script:

Could not find valid value for qrid

Unsure how to proceed.

That is an odd error. Everything works fine on the system? And when do you get that? After you click OK to proceed with the upgrade? Any other messages?

Yep - after running the upgrade script from 4.1 to 4.2.6.

I can't speak to "everything else" working on the system, since I was prompted to upgrade after encountering the other error in the other thread, e.g.

Code: [Select]
/var/www/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Core/Error.php, backtrace, 293
/var/www/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Utils/Request.php, fatal, 106
/var/www/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Contact/Page/View.php, retrieve, 98
/var/www/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Contact/Page/View/Summary.php, preProcess, 51
/var/www/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Contact/Page/View/Summary.php, preProcess, 94
/var/www/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm/CRM/Core/Invoke.php, run, 228
/var/www/wp-content/plugins/civicrm/civicrm.php, invoke, 271
, civicrm_wp_invoke,
/var/www/wp-includes/plugin.php, call_user_func_array, 403
/var/www/wp-admin/admin.php, do_action, 151

Sorry but we are not able to provide this at the moment.
Could not find valid value for cid

I could get contacts into and out of the system, configure quite a few things on the checklist and configure payments with Paypal (albeit with a problem that I've seen documented elsewhere in this message base).

I think that you have a broken system, somehow. Not sure how, but it seems like it may well be easier to start fresh, depending on how much data you have in there.
