Wordpress AJAX Based Theme Conflict
November 03, 2012, 10:58:28 am
I am wondering if anyone can help me make CiviCRM compatible with a Wordpress theme that my client specifically paid for and now I am running into compatibility issues due to the theme's AJAX utilization.  The theme is called Gleam by Elegant Themes and it really is beautiful, but it causing extreme conflict with displaying the contribution pages correctly.  Unfortunately you will not be able to see the problem at the moment and I will attempt to attach some screen shots.  I have a count down page to hide the main site we are about to reveal.

The contribution page loads beautifully when the URL is "gcmf.org/communication-center/new-usa-membership-application/", but the AJAX based theme insists on adding "#!" which makes the problematic URL "gcmf.org/#!/communication-center/new-usa-membership-application/".  Without the "#!" there are parts of the theme that don't function and it's very insignificant in the grand scheme of things.  But it would be super if this theme and CiviCRM "played nice together"!

Has anyone ever come across this conflict?  I really don't want to switch to another Wordpress theme as it will not reflect good on my client and he is pretty sold on this theme.

Thank-you for any help one may offer me as I am struggling with this and needing to launch the new site ASAP!

Kindly,

Rick Monyer

;D Got it figured out!  All the places where I reference the link to display anything from CiviCRM I can't use the full URL and I pass "/communication-center/new-usa-membership-application/" without the domain.  It works and I'm satisfied with it!  Hopefully someone who runs into this same problem stumbles across this post and it can help them as well.
