Commerce module send data to custom fields
November 05, 2012, 10:25:39 pm
Hi, i'd like to have 2 custom fields in a product page (or after buying something), like this:
1.- A blank line for a custom text (like "Get Well. Your Uncle"), and
2.- A field for uploading an image.

Another example of a text field I'd like the user to fill:
"Hair color: Gray"
"Bike: Mongoose"

How can I do this so that this gets added inside CiviCRM when someone purchases something?

Or what alternatives do I have

Thanks

If you are using Drupal, the Webform CiviCRM integration might be worth a try: http://drupal.org/project/webform_civicrm

Otherwise you migth want to use the API to update data in CiviCRM from outside? Check http://book.civicrm.org/developer/current/techniques/api/

If you are actually talking about Commerce module integration I don't think there has been any 'published' work on this to date though i recall at least one other similar enquiry.
Not sure how valuable it would be to look at uc_civicrm and uc_civicrm_product modules but they may give you a bit of a steer even though i think they are old API.
Am sure there will be others interested if you are able to make a start on this.
