Database error: Conflict between Wordpress and civiCRM
November 12, 2012, 12:15:59 pm
Hey Guys,

hope you can help me with this:
I have civiCRM Version 4.2.2 installed on Wordpress 3.4.2

Now, when I save an email adress in civiCRM, and this person wants to sign up at wordpress as user (e.g. for having access to the forum) there is an error

"Sorry but we are not able to provide this at the moment.
DB Error: already exists"

No registration email is sent, but the user gets created (but he can't login, because hasn't recieved his password email).

If someone wants to register who isn't already in civiCRM with his email adress, it works without problems.

I really wonder how this could be, because civiCRM und wordpress are using separate databases.

Is this a known Bug or something?
Can I fix it somehow?

kind regards,
akiriya
