Profile form display in pages and wordpress 3.4.2
November 12, 2012, 08:55:45 pm
Hi,

I have recently updated to the wordpress 3.4.2 and was displaying a profile form using the standard url address i.e ?http://mysite.com.au/?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/profile/create&reset=1&gid=1 all was well. I have just noticed that the profile form is not displaying in the page like it use to and now sits above the whole site. (see image)

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hello Arakuna,

I know that Civi allows you to set where Profiles appear in Personal Campaign Pages (either at the beginning or the end of the page). Perhaps there is a similar setting for Wordpress.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Jason

Hi Jason,

Thanks for the reply. It is not a contribution page just a profile form. I have used the URL that civiCRM suggest in their wiki for Wordpress. http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/plugins/servlet/mobile#content/view/66551964

It works if I just use the web site URL  eg http://mysite.com.au/?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/profile/create&reset=1&gid=X but if I insert a page I have created in Wordpress eg http://mysite.com.au/about/?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/profile/create&reset=1&gid=X

It appears above the site. It worked fine before the upgrade.

I can't use the main URL as it inserts posts after the form.

Cheers

Have you defined above settings in your civicrm.settings.php file ?

Hi Kurund,

I can't find that text in my settings.php so I added it and when you say template do you mean my wordpress templates in the themes folder?

Sorry, a bit new to all this.

Hey,

Just found out what is causing the problem!

It is the Jetpack plugin for Wordpress, when I install it, the forms appear above the site and when I un-install it the profile forms go back to normal i.e. sits within the page.

Now I just need to figure out why Jetpack is causing this issue :P

Jetpask is causing profile forms inserted using shortcodes on Wordpress to disappear completely.  So there seems to be some conflict between a recent update of Jetpack, and CiviCRM.

The issue I reported with Jetpack is limited (so far) to version 2.0.4 of Jetpack.  Rollback to Jetpack 2.0.2 for workaround.  Version 2.0.3 has problems of its own.
