I must be missing something, but should custom fields associated to any contribution show up at the bottom of Title & Settings portion the Contribution form the same way they show up at the bottom of Info & Settings for Events? 

I've tested this on http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org and my own sites and I never see the custom fields.

I figured it out.  The custom fields show up on the New Contribution form... not on the Contribution Pages.
