Events checklist timeline
November 14, 2012, 06:06:49 am
I'm not sure if it's possible to do this but when we schedule an event (normally 12 weeks beforehand) we would like to auto-generate a time line of promotional activittes automatically that prompt by dashlet or email, staff users to carry out promotional activities at pre-specified time relative to the date of the event

i.e
mail-out 12 weeks before
face book - 8 weeks before
twitter - 4 weeks before
second mail out - 2 weeks before

Does anyone know how I can support that.

Seems like an ideal candidate to use CiviCase :) i.e. u create a timeline for a "event case" activity and create a new case for every event. You can potentially also do this as a hook and automatically create a new case whenever u get a new event with a start / end date.

Heh, I meant to add "without using CiviCase", as it's a very different case type to the ones we are using currently and might confuse our case workers.

Hi,

I'm sure you are aware of it, but you can define case types, so might be enough to distinguish between your "normal" cases and this one?
