We have a Joomla 2.5.6 website with CiviCRM 4.2.6 installed.

We can not figure out a way that a member/user can edit their email address in their profile from the front-end at all. Also we need members/users to be able to change their email address and sync with the Joomla user manager. Any ideas, this must be possible, are we missing something.

I am interested in the answer to this question, and I have a similar one: My users would like the ability to change their email address during a membership renewal process. I suspect the answer to these two questions is related.

Hello mwcourtney,

your member/users should be able to edit their email addresses by selecting the My Account link on the CiviCRM "Home" page, and then selecting Edit on the following page.

@tmoberg: I think your issue would be best solved by adding the Email field to the profile used to renew memberships.
