Frontend Profiles for Wordpress
November 16, 2012, 04:55:05 pm
Hello!
I am trying to have visitors to the website sign up for e-mail updates. The idea is that embedded into the page is the "sign up for more info!" and then there is the profile which I have created.
This is all on wordpress.
I am totally lost how to make this happen, I have created the profile, but I can't get it to the front end. When I add a civicrm component (upload civicrm using the icon) the only options are adding contribution, event, user dashboard....but I want to add a profile...right? I don't want to ask the user to sign up for more information by clicking a link, and then they are brought to another page, since we don't want to lose anybody's interest....
Argh
Any help would be great, I spun myself into confusion, thank you!

Hi mg290,

I had the same issue. Following the instructions here http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/plugins/servlet/mobile#content/view/66551964

Go to 3.Modify your URL for the front end

If you have Jetpack installed it will mess with the layout of your profile forms if you have set up your forms to display on a Wordpress page that you have created.

Hope this helps
