November 20, 2012, 10:37:42 pm
Am I the only one getting this error? I can only access any CiviEVent or CiviContribute page I created as a Super Admin from the front end through a menu item. The public or a registered user ALWAYS get the Error: CiviCRM-001 page...

Please Help!?!

MySQL version    5.0.96-community
Apache version    2.2.23
Joomla! 2.5.6

Can you post the URL of the page you can see and the page that gives the public an error? Skip the domain name if you want.

I sorry, but how do I post the pages without giving the domain? Do you mean post the screenshots of the pages?

Anyway, the error page is what I get when I click on 'Member Signup' menu item and when I'm logged in as a public user.

The actual 'Member Signup / Renewal' page is what I get when I click on 'Member Signup' menu item and when I'm logged in as Superadmin.

Goto www.precisebowlingsystems.com/index.php [Go to ...index.php as there is a redirect in place so make sure you use the /index.php]

Next, click on '...Systems Clinic' link then 'Test Clinic' which is an Event.

Or click on '...Advance Area' link then 'Member Signup...' link which is a Contribute page.

I can get to BOTH pages while signed in as SuperAdmin, but I get errors on both when Not signed in or if I'm signed in as a Registered user.

Thanks for any help...  :)

I got to

/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/event/info&Itemid=503&reset=1&id=1

That's what I meant as a URL without the domain name. :)

I only said that b/c some folks don't like to post links to their sites.

Anyhow, even just

/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/event/info&id=1

also fails.  :(

I'm not sure why. Perhaps it's another extension or module you have installed?

Thanks for checking, I'll check my extension and/or modules and try to troubleshoot.

...but on the URL again, did you just past /index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/event/info&Itemid=503&reset=1&id=1 into your browser? How did you get there without the domain? So I can try it. And when you say 'got there', you got to the page or the error? Thanks in advance.

I got to the page and the same error you posted.

No, the "URL" I posted is not a real URL. It's just the part after your domain name. The actual URL will need your domain name prepended.

Did you give Public or Registered User group permission to 'CiviContribute: make online contributions' ? If not, go to CiviCRM > Administer > Users and Permissions > Permissions (Access Control) > Joomla Access Control and add that.

I went to Joomla Access Control and added permissions...I think. This is what i did, but I still get the error.  :(

Also, can someone help me with how can you get to my page using only the URL without domain? I posted my domain b/c I don't care about publishing it. But wouldn't you need it to see my page and my error!? I'm confused.  ???

I still can ONLY access any CiviCRM page (event, contribute) I create if I'm logged in as Super Admin. Can anyone help?

Definitely a permissions issue. Ensure that others users have permissions for various things

if still not working on your site, check and test on demo server

If you can debug on your site and figure out whats happening and why that would be great :)

I'm getting the same error here: sfaba org /index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/petition/sign&sid=2&reset=1

Has anyone figured out what permissions need to be changed and where that page is to make the change? I'm running Civicrm 4.2.1 on Joomla 2.5.7, both fresh installs outta the box.

Thanks.

Here is the answer:

Go to: CiviCRM > Administer > Users and Permissions > Permissions (Access Control) > Joomla Access Control

Open the Public group.

Scroll down to: CiviCampaign: sign CiviCRM Petition

Mark as: Allowed

Save it.
