few issues after upgrade to 4.2
November 22, 2012, 04:00:00 am
hi,

I upgraded from 4.1.x to the latest version 4.2.6 and the install ran successfully and on the surface everything looked ok - I checked the resource URLs etc and they seemed ok - but a few things aren't working properly now that were working before.

  • users (with admin access) other than Admin aren't getting access to civi backend options - the menus are there but if you click any options you are being taken to the sites homepage.  The url being passed is [MYSITE]/?page=CiviCRM&q=civicrm/[MENU-OPTION]/send&reset=1
  • I was using a simple profile for newsletter signups on the pages - they seemed to work fine before now once you click SEND it's forcing wordpress login - the settings are shown in the attached screenshot.
There might be other things, but they're the things I've encountered so far that are definitely different to before.
I'm about to go into a meeting with my senior management to shown them how great civi is  :-\

Any help would be appreciated...
Clare.
