Using Custom Fields on the Case
November 24, 2012, 10:05:43 pm
Hi - Eileen is encouraging me to use Custom Fields on the Case.
Looks like that came in via http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-8508

Giving it a try and have two questions.

My Custom Field shows fine and shows me the text I inserted in to it.
Quote
To achieve 10 literacy and 10 numeracy credits by the end of 2013 and review possibilities for 2014 for further education or training courses 1. Making sure that I come to course everyday 2. Keeping to my behaviour contracts and following the expectations of TKW staff 3. Asking for help when I am not sure how to do the work 4. Working with the Health Nurse to help sort out the drug issues 5. Meeting with my mentor at least twice a week

If I edit it I get
Code: [Select]
{"custom_122_3":"To achieve 10 literacy and 10 numeracy credits by the end of 2013 and review possibilities for 2014 for further education or training courses\r\n1. Making sure that I come to course everyday\r\n2. Keeping to my behaviour contracts and following the expectations of TKW staff\r\n3. Asking for help when I am not sure how to do the work\r\n4. Working with the Health Nurse to help sort out the drug issues\r\n5. Meeting with my mentor at least twice a week"}
Second, if I print the Case Report, I do not get my Custom Fields showing at all, though I do get the Activities for any edits, in same format as above.

Are these known problems?

I can replicate #2 on demo - not sure what is different about #1 (though seem not to be able to duplicate on my own system now)

if this link works it will take you to Print Case Report for https://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/view?reset=1&cid=102

https://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/case/report/print?all=1&redact=0&cid=102&caseID=4&asn=standard_timeline

Also the question about the Print Report including Case fields? Thoughts?
