This has probably been asked before but I couldn't find any good info in the forums for this question.

How would you go about allowing/limiting profile creation / user account creation where a profile is used where the individual can search for their company and select the company for address purposes.

We currently manually add each contact and select user account creation so that each user is attached to a company and has the shared address(es) attached to them.  We would like to setup a profile or add to the account creation section of drupal to be able to do this.

Scenario: Company ABC has address 1 and address 2, User A wants to register for an account.  During account registration user searches for and picks Company ABC in which they can select one or more addresses to attach themselves to.  Thus we get the same results as if an admin had does this manually from the backend.
