Parse error
March 11, 2008, 11:29:26 am
I've tried to install CiviCRM 2.0 several times. Once on an existing Drupal 5.7 site (which it destroyed) and once a new Drupla 5.7 site. I keep getting the same error message.

When I enable the CiviCRM module in Drupal, I get a white screen with the following message....

Parse error: parse error, unexpected ',', expecting '(' in /homepages/1/d99059598/htdocs/advisorcrm/modules/civicrm/drupal/civicrm.module on line 479

I'm using 1and1 for shared hosting. And I've used a php.ini file to expand the memory limit to 20M, 30M, and 64M. Still nothing.

Thanks for any feedback.

I am also having this problem with Network Solutions as the host. Any help would be appreciated. It is very easy to reproduce.

Ask your hosting provider to tell you what version of PHP they are providing for you. CiviCRM requires PHP 5.2+ - so if that's not what they've provided - you'll need to ask them if they can provide that or find another host.
