Profiles Display acting strangely in 4.2.4
November 29, 2012, 04:58:02 am
When I went to the Profiles page, I noticed a problem today. Probably been that way since I upgraded a couple of weeks ago, as I don't go to this page that often.

Under User-defined profiles there is nothing showing - just says 'There are no records'. When I click on Reserved Profiles, I get what you can see if profiles.png (attached). Many, if not most, of these 'profiles' are empty. Some of them are in fact profiles that I have created and we use, but it is impossible to tell from this screen.

Any ideas what is happening? The profiles do have actual titles, but they are just showing up as numbers on this screen.

Did you try clearing the CiviCRM cache, Drupal cache and your browser cache?

Yes, with no success. Thanks though.

Might try updating to .6 and see if the bug is still there, did you upgrade from another subversion of 4.2?

hmm, did you do it by drush or URL?  I remember there being a big anouncement about issues upgrading with drush right around 4.2.4 release or something like that, there is a blog somewhere, let me see if I can find it. But mute point if you didn't upgrade using drush.

The upgrade bug would not have been related to this screen. There's a new feature in 4.2 that allows you to edit the profile title in the selector. Wondering if that's failing. Check for jScript  errors on that page.
