How to disable register a different person
November 29, 2012, 08:36:44 am
How do you disable "Not SOMEBODY LOGGED IN, or want to register a different person" link at the top of the registration pages?

We only allow registered users to register themselves but I don't see any option for disabling this.  As always thank you to whomever replies.

This is not currently configurable. However, I think we should make it easy to hide that <div> with some jQuery by giving it a unique id. I've updated templates/CRM/Event/Form/Registration/Register.tpl in 4.3 to add that id:

Code: [Select]
<div class="messages status no-popup" id="crm-event-register-different">

Meanwhile if you need this now and the approach makes sense, you could create a custom copy of that file in a custom templates directory and make that modification. Then add the jQuery to a new file in that same custom templates folder (Register.extra.tpl) with

Code: [Select]
<script type="text/javascript">
  {literal}
  cj("#crm-event-register-different").hide();
  {/literal}
</script>

Could I just replace the register.tpl file in 4.2 with your tpl for now? Or are there 4.3 changes that effect the tpl overall?

I cannot find a tpl file located there, do you mean the tpl file located at /sites/all/modules/civicrm/templates/CRM/Event/Form/Registration?

Thanks.
