Convert from individuals to organizations

Can I convert Individuals to Organizations when they are already in the database? Accidentally when importing the data a lot of organizations were imported as Individuals and I want to change that now. Thanks in advance!

what version of civicrm?

in v2, its potentially a bit easier with some database scripting. Its much harder in v1.x

you will need to write code for either case. Contact us on IRC and we can get u going there
