Migrated to new drupal installation with different UIDs, need to resynch
December 03, 2012, 12:49:28 pm
I had a Drupal installation hosted by one part of the university that I upgraded and moved to an installation hosted by another unit. Naturally, the UIDs in the new Drupal installation are all new. As a result, the synching between UIDs and civicrm Contacts is all out of synch. So, for example, when I log in as Drupal UID 1, the name that shows up is the old CiviCRM contact who had ID 1 in the civicrm_contact table. It appears that the association between the Drupal UIDs and the civicrm Contacts is managed in the civicrm_uf_match table with the contact_id field. I'm reluctant to just go in and edit the contact ids. Is there a better way to handle this?

Thanks.

I think you can truncate civicrm_uf_match and then run the Synchronize tool in CiviCRM and it will rebuild that table's contents.
