Creating events issue- requiring reg. start/end time

In my civiCRM 1.9.13019 & drupal i get what I believe to be a bug. I tried it on two different sites with the same version of civiCRM

Steps:

1. CiviEvent-create a new event
2. Go through steps 1-3 no problem.
3. On Step 4 (online registration enable/disable) it forces me to enter a registration start/end time even though the "allow online registration" box is not selected.

any ideas?

No ideas for a fix but I am running 1.9.12432 and I do not have this issue. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Can you test this on our demo machine, and if so file an issue :)

We just released 2.0 (on the download site) and that becomes the supported version. You might want to upgrade
