Combine contribution with membership over date range
December 05, 2012, 10:00:24 am
Hi,

This must be straightforward but can't find an answer in the forum thus far. I would like to run a report on memberships from 01/01/2012 to 05/12/2012 and also include the relevant contribution made for that membership.

This has to be pretty simple but I'm a bit stumped ???

Thanks for any help you can give!

Hi there,

Thanks for quick response. I gave a second look at that and it was failing to give any results when I set the end date to today's date which is odd but workable.

Have attempted same simple report on the demo (4.2) site and I get the correct records from the sample data with a date range and a tag.

My search parameters are simple...

1) Member from Jan - Dec 2012
2) Display contributions
3) Tagged with 'my_tag'

But now that I have some output the issue is that the report only lists the Name, Contribution Type and Amount while the other Memberhsip fields / columns remain empty (Membership Type, Start / End date, Membership Status).  Any ideas on why it outputs contrib data and not membership info?  Thanks again!

I haven't used that report much, but did a quick test on the demo site, and it seems to be working fine:
http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/report/instance/21?force=1

the report is a little odd in that it can display contributions that are not tied to a membership record, in addition to those that are. try adding a filter by membership type. that should cause it to exclude those that are not connected to a membership.
