Advanced Membership Search Display (Status, Type)
December 06, 2012, 03:02:29 am
Hi, I hit a road block and hope someone can help.

I am trying to create a custom "Search Views" for an "Advanced Search" to display membership status and type. For that I tried to create a custom profile with the setting "Search Results", but when adding membership fields to the profile the custom search view disappears from the drop down list in advanced search.

Further: When clicking "searchable" in the profile for a membership fields, I receive the message "Oops. Membership fields can not be marked as Searchable in a profile." > Does this mean I can't add the membership status and type to the search results?

Any advice how to display the status and type and ideally the expiration date?

Thanks!

In that case your best and easiest bet might be to write a custom search which gives you those 3 fields

Pretty sure "Search Views" only allows u to display contact related profiles

Yep, contact related data only when it comes to profiles being used as a search view.  Simplest way I can think of is Search Builder which is what I use when "find memberships" search in CiviMember module doesn't quite get it done.  Have to know the values which is sometimes a pain to dig and get but search builder is like a GUI for SQL code so it can do just about anything you need it to.
