Using CiviCRM 4.2.2 and Joomla 2.5

When search contacts, event listings / contributions etc. Some of the contact icons for individuals are greyed out. That is, most of them are in colour, but some of them are grey. What does the grey individual contact icon represent?

The contact icon I'm referring to is one that you hover your over to get a black pop-up summary of the contact information.

The grey icon is a placeholder for contact subtype. So the color ones are individuals, and the grey ones are individuals with a subtype like student, parent, etc. You can supply your own icons for these subtypes to make the search screen more helpful.

Thanks for that, I didn't know you could specify your own icon for contact sub-types. that's pretty cool.
