Mailing name and mailing subject

We are migrating from 1.9 to 4.1.5  ;D

In 1.9, the mailing subject defaulted to the same text as the mailing name. We liked this. It could be overridden if necessary. Now, there is no default and the user has to enter a mailing subject. Is there any way we could have a choice between behaviors?

No, but you could add this feature perhaps via JS in an "extra" template if your team has coding skills.
