PayPal Not Working
December 10, 2012, 08:27:23 am
Hello,
I am using CiviCRM 4.1.0 on a Drupal 7 website. I have a PayPal account of the type "PayPal Payments Standard." CiviCRM on my website is set up to use "PayPal Website Payments Standard" payment processor. The payment processor is configured properly as far as the PayPal account information is concerned, but transactions just don't go through. If a user tries to register for an event, for instance, everything works up to the point of sending the payment to PayPal and then the following error is received:   Payment Processor Error message 10002: Authentication/Authorization Failed You do not have permissions to make this API call. I also have Ubercart configured on my site and it works properly when selling products.

I am wondering if there is an issue with the difference between the name of the CiviCRM payment processor (PayPal Website Payments Standard) being different from the name of my PayPal account type (PayPal Payments Standard), or what could be causing this problem and how it can be fixed.
