Membership types not translating
December 11, 2012, 01:54:41 pm
Hi, using latest Drupal 7 and Civicrm 4.2.

Can't seem to get the membership types on a contribution page to change with the language switcher.  I used these instructions to get the Drupal language switcher to work with contribution pages (bidon.ca/fr/node/584), which works to translate some of the multilingual fields (Page title, Page Header, etc), but the membership types do not.  They are not part of a more complex price set, just five different membership types with different names and prices.

Using English as my main language and French (CA) and Spanish (MX) as the other languages. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have run into the same issue, and haven't managed to configure it using the interface. I had to edit it directly in the database (civicrm_price_field and civicrm_price_field_value).

Since 4.2, everything is a priceset, but I don't think that "simple" pricesets are exposed in the admin interface, or at least, I haven't yet found out how.

Hello jimmy_row,

Have you considered using word replacements? That should allow you to get those fields translated. You could also rename the membership types by going to Administer-->CiviMember-->Membership types. From there you can change the memberships to something like New\Nouveau\Nuevo.

Cheers,
Jason
