"District" question
December 13, 2012, 09:17:22 am
I recall knowing how to do this before, but now I can't remember.

Is there a way of setting up something like a lookup table by "district" or "county". This would be so we can know who represents a contact's various districts.

ericaspen :

You might want to enable county in Administer CiviCRM > Localization > Address Settings

check county in Address Editing section

Is there a way to take a set of data in a custom field and turn it into a drop down menu easily?

Hi,

When you create a custom field, you can create it as a select and add a list of options to fill it.

There isn't a UI interface to upload an existing list directly, eg from excel. but I did use the api and wrote a simple program to import it, worked ok.
