Hi Guys,

I'm just throwing this out to see if this makes sense.

I work with membership driven organizations and I'm using civi for membership management for my clients. While I was reviewing the Fee Schedule for one of the organizations I work with it struck me that perhaps I could do things differently to provide more detailed reporting...

Most of the regional organizations I work with have identical membership makeups; their membership dues are part regional membership dues and part national membership dues, plus tax. So I wonder can I create a membership type where it is made up of two sub membership types:

Regional Dues: $200
National Dues: $50
Sub Total:       $250

Is this possible? I think it might make for more valuable reporting.

Ok, thanks... I thought as much. I'll just keep on keeping on....

I won't be able to roll anything out myself yet but after I clear some room off my virtual desk, if nobody else has done anything about it and if it is deemed worthwhile, I'll take a stab at it. Currently I am committed to produce a Continuing Ed tracking/reporting extension and then the almighty Tax extension. After that I will be working on extensions for monitoring intern exams and another for intern work experience logging.
