Dumb question about how to customize Smarty templates
December 27, 2012, 03:50:56 am
Okay - I've created a demographic report for age. It creates a series of age ranges and counts the number of people within each of those ranges. The report pulls the information from the database fine. However, I'm having some problems figuring out how the Smarty template works.

I know I have to create a custom Smarty template, know how to put it into the proper custom directory but I would love an example. I've looked through the reports that come with and they all seem to use the same template. A very simple example would be stupendous.

Also, has anyone created a series of demographic reports. For example, women over 50 contributed more than men under 50 or there are 20% men and 80% women who volunteer - counts of groups, etc.

Thanks as always!
