4.2 Token Documentation circular reference / missing?

I'm trying to reference the token documentation for custom newsletters and found this reference :

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC42/Tokens which references: http://book.civicrm.org/user/current/common-workflows/tokens-and-mail-merge/ which references confluence again.

Also, we need to include current events which is in a drupal view - any idea if / how that can be included in a newsletter?

Seems they both do have different information. Is there something missing?

What precisely do you mean? Are your events CiviEvents or Drupal nodes?

Looking for a comprehensive list of tokens.  mail-merge for example.  the doc shows nothing about contact references.
