Issue with Copied Event and price sets
January 06, 2013, 06:18:26 pm
I've copied an event to re-use it this year.  The new event is active and has online registration enabled.   When I go to register for the event I get the following error:

Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.
No Fee Level(s) or Price Set is configured for this event.
Click CiviEvent >> Manage Event >> Configure >> Event Fees to configure the Fee Level(s) or Price Set for this event.
Return to home page.

However I do have a price set and fee level associated and configured for the event.  So why is this error popping up??

I tried adding a copy of one of the existing price sets to the event but that shows the same error when I try to register including a new db error.  The error details is not clickable and shows no additional info.

Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.
No Fee Level(s) or Price Set is configured for this event.
Click CiviEvent >> Manage Event >> Configure >> Event Fees to configure the Fee Level(s) or Price Set for this event.
DB Error: syntax error

Interestingly all of a sudden when I re-enable a past event that also has price sets enabled for it, I'm getting the same error:

Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.
No Fee Level(s) or Price Set is configured for this event.
Click CiviEvent >> Manage Event >> Configure >> Event Fees to configure the Fee Level(s) or Price Set for this event.
Return to home page.

Hello Trevor,

Just a couple of thoughts:

1) Have you tried configuring a new price set for this event?

2) Have you tried editing the original event to update it for this year, using it instead of a copy? (I would suggest exporting any data from the original)

30 What version of Civi are you running? perhaps if you are running an older version, an update will solve your problem.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Jason

Likely too late for the original post, but I just came here with the same issue. After some clicking and trying to build a new price set, it seems that between the original event that I was copying from and the new event, Civi added something to price sets indicating when they should be active for.

Go to Price Sets -> View and Edit Price Fields (for the price set you're working with) -> Edit Price Field -> scroll down and enter a date where there is an "Active On" box...
