Is There Any Way to Give A Drupal User Access to their Contact Record?
January 06, 2013, 07:59:06 pm
Hello.

Civi's Contact Record (as linked from 'View Contact Record' when logged-in as Admin) is great and pretty.

Is there anyway to give a Drupal User acess to this so they can see (and edit) their own Contact Records (albeit with the ability to lock certain fields, data etc?)

I have an install that's properly synced and working fine, but the user profile page needs work.    I might be able to tweak with Panels & Views, but wanted to ask for insight.  Is there any civi themes that might work?

My goal is to make the Drupal user profile page that contain's Civi data a bit prettier/user-friendly.

Thanks!

PTG

Right now, all contacts can log-in and see (and edit) all of thier contact information via the "My Account" function in Drupal.  But it's pretty drab looking.    I would like to provide the identical Contact Record that Civicrm provides to Admins to rank-and-file contact users.

Is there any way to do so?

You cannot expose that page to all users without some major permissioning and template changes. In addition to the info in that page, there are links to lots of other pages based on the permissions of the user
