Incorrect membership end date after renewal via PayPal

I am using CiviCRM 4.1 (in Drupal) on GoDaddy. I cannot upgrade CiviCRM because GoDaddy doesn't support MySQL 5.1. I have a fixed membership set up for one year, beginning on Jan 1, ending on Dec 31. When I test renewal of the membership via payment thru Paypal, it extends the membership date to Dec 31, 2014 instead of 2013. I can't seem to find any problems in the setup of the membership. From what I have read online, it seems like this might be a bug. Is there a patch that I can apply to CiviCRM 4.1. (Like I said before, I cannot upgrade to 4.2 because of GoDaddy.)

If you know the issue number of the bug, you can click on the source tab (near the bottom) and see the list of patches for that issue. In most cases this is a pretty good patch set
