Hi jkirsner,

This is possible, but not through Advanced Search.  You can do it with a two-step process.

* First, create the smart group of folks who have donated in the last 30 days.
* Next, in the Search menu, select "Custom Searches" at the bottom.
* Select "Include/Exclude Search".

From there, you can select your donor group and exclude the second group.

To answer your question of why this isn't available in Advanced Search - it's because no one has coded it yet!  While it would certainly benefit folks to be able to do this with fewer steps, few people are willing to undertake the work to do it when there's an available workaround.  I took a look into this once, and realized it would be a major undertaking, so decided to focus my limited resources elsewhere.
