Hi all,

In our CiviCRM setup, only organisations have memberships, and each organisation can have multiple employees who are created as individual contacts but not assigned a separate membership.

What we're trying to do then is export a list of all members and their employees, including contact details for each of those employees.

I've tried the Relationship report, the Membership report and some custom searching but can't get the result I want. Does anyone have any ideas of how to do this?

We're using CiviCRM 4.1.0

Hello Hans,

Without knowing how you currently have your contacts arranged (groups, tags, etc.), my suggestion is to arrange them using groups.

Each organization would be a group, populated by it's Members and Employees. then you can perform a search for the org's group, select all contacts, and export these contacts and their info from there (export contacts in the - actions - menu).

We don't currently have groups setup to enable us to do that, but it looks like that might be our only option.

what are you missing if you just do Adv Search for 'all' contacts and 'export' and include the 'current employer' field in order to get the 'Organisation'?
