Hi there,

my contacts have two addresses (eg work and private). Both addresses have an e-mail field.
When I want to e-mail a user by clicking Send Email, I get the option to select which e-mail to use (work or private). This is great!

So far so good..

However, when I use Advanced Search to select - for example - all users who joined an event in 2007, select them all and then select 'Send email to contacts' form the action drop-down, it uses only the e-mail of the primairy address. So I can never send a e-mail to all work-related e-mailadresses from my contacts! This looks like a forgotten feature to me!

Any ideas?

Quick suggestion would be to find those contacts then export with the work email fields you want via Export and then grab those emails and use via different emailing system. Not a systematic fix I know but if you just need to do something it might help.

Also it has been noted elsewhere that the 'email contacts' from drop down 'more actions' is not designed for large emailings. (and the action clutters up your Activities file with a record for each individual email you send this way!)

Well I think you are true, but we use it to mail at groups of at max 15/20 users per mail, a few times a year.
The cluttering of the Activities history does not matter to me. I still see this as a bug/forgotten feature which should be solved.

Until then, I'll use your solution. Thanks anyway!
