Why can I sometimes not edit end dates?
January 16, 2013, 09:42:37 pm
See the attached image (Drupal 6.28, CiviCRM v4.1.6).  Two members, both in the same Membership Organization and Type (though left member's is editable and right is not), but only the left member's end date is editable.  Where is this configured?  What is different?

I want to be able to edit the end date for the member on the right.

Look at the received dates. Seems that left one's paid membership ended but the right's has not.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't think that's it, as both are monthly contributions with end dates scheduled in the future.

In any case, I need to be able to edit the end date on the right member as they have indicated a different ending date for their contribution.  How can this be done?

There must be something different about these contacts or these memberships. I do not know what it is. If this is critical, you could edit this record directly in the database, but that's a last resort.

Thanks again, and I am still confused.

Notice that the one on the right - where I can't edit the end date - also does not have a select box available for the "Membership Organization and Type" where is explicitly reads: "Select Membership Organization and then Membership Type."

Why is this one set in stone and the other is not?  (I'll do some database digging, but it is odd to me that others have not seen this.)
