Import Error: Undefined index: element_name in CRM_Core_BAO_CustomGroup

Hi there,

I just upgraded to CiviCRM 4.2.6 from 4.1.6 and I was getting this error before upgrading, so thought upgrading might help, but it didn't. I have attache a picture of the error I get after pressing import. Basically it says "Sorry we are not able to provide this at the moment" "DB Error: Syntex error"

Below is one of the errors in the log at that time:

It really is critical that we import these. So any help would be appreciated.

the error you pasted is just a warning, so not relevant

two things:

1. can you logout and login and see if that fixes it

2. if not, can you check the error log for the "Fatal Error" that will have more specific info

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I logged out and in again and still get the same errors. I filtered for fatal error, but there arn't any.

check the CiviCRM.MD 5 HASH.log file in your files/civicrm/ConfigAndLog directory

there should be more details of the error there

Seems like some mysql errors with the dedupe calls. You will need to debug it or get someone to take a closer look at the log files and figure out whats happening

what version of mysql are you on?

we are on MySQL 5.5.*

We are probably going to scrap CiviCRM and Drupal with this client. They have had to do a lot of work translating from English to Swiss German/German. Their main frustration has been with Drupal Commerce not working well, so this problem with CiviCRM just adds to their unhappiness, which is a real shame. They don't want to invest any more time/money in fixing these problems  :'(

Thank you for your input it has been really appreciated. I may come back with more questions with other clients.
