Paypal doubling contribution amount

Hello!

Whenever someone signs up for a membership and checks out using PayPal, it is adding an amount equal to their membership as an "additional contribution" even when no number is entered or if "0" is entered. Any advice on how to stop this? If I enter a different amount, it accepts that different amount.
