civicrm_db_tools by DharmaTech useful or stale in 4.1.6 -> 4.2.7 upgrade?

Hi,
New to the community. Lots of useful advice and information here!
I am working to upgrade civiCRM from 4.1.6 to 4.2.7, and encountering problems.
In the midst of digging about, I've found the civicrm_db_tools by Wes Hass of DharmaTech, which seem to date from 2009, and version 2.x of civiCRM. Since the svn repository is unresponsive, I am assuming that this method of checking my 4.1.6 db integrity is stale/dead. Is there another way to check my db?

pretty sure that code has not been updated in a long long time. Would be good for someone to take over maintaining and updating the code for more recent versions

want to take it over john?

Hi Lobo,

Thanks for the reply. I have some significant hurdles to jump for OYP (Ontario Youth Parliament - www.oyp.on.ca), in volunteer mode. The site is hosted by (and my volunteer work is supported if/as needed by) the folk at Peaceworks Technology Solutions (www.peaceworks.ca). Do you know anyone from Peaceworks? Anyway, I'm one of the original owners, but have been on LTD since 2007, and am only able to code on a volunteer/no-low stress basis, and sporadically at best. Perhaps once the brunt of OYP work is over, I'll have learned enough about Drupal/civiCRM/PHP/themes/css to consider this (was a foxpro/MSSql/asp/ASP.NET/VStudio) guy before health issues.

Since you're asking, I'm assuming that the need for such a DB check/repair tool is a "hole" in the civiCRM world, yes?
