Possible to have multiple "other amount" options in a price set
January 18, 2013, 10:55:14 am
I'm working on setting up a donations page with a goal of providing users with the option to split their total contribution between multiple funds/campaigns. Is there a way to create a price set field where users can specify the amount? I'd like to avoid a scenario where a donor has to fill out multiple forms in order to donate to more than one fund/campaign.

I found a similar question with no responses from a few years back http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,10475.msg44938.html and saw that some of the CiviAccounts work may be working toward this goal. However, I wanted to post a new topic in case there's a solution out there that doesn't require a custom hook.

Thanks for the help!

No built in way to do this either in 4.2 or 4.3. CiviAccounts makes this possible from the DB perspective but there is no UI support for this in 4.3

You can potentially use a price set, with one field for each value and then write an external script to associate the amounts with different funds/campaigns on a periodic basis
