Default Drupal theme is being disabled
January 18, 2013, 12:50:20 pm
Recently I have noticed that after using CiviCRM for a while the theme becomes disabled even though it is the default theme for Drupal and CiviCRM.

It becomes disabled completely or just for some pages? What other modules do you have?

It becomes disabled completely. If I go to the Appearance page it is in the disabled themes area. It has got so bad that I am considering moving CiviCRM into a different sub-domain because it is screwing up the public site. I installed it with two separated databases ... so I hope it won't be too hard to split them.

Using two databases makes it easy to move CiviCRM.

However I highly doubt that CiviCRM is causing this issue--no one has ever reported any such problem.

Can you look through your other modules and see if any of them could be the culprit?

I haven't looked into other modules yet because I have a couple of sites which use CiviCRM and mostly the same set of modules but what is different about this one is that it is a Drupal multi-site configuration and the theme is in its folder rather than the All sites folder. I'm going to remove it from the multi-site configuration to see if it makes a difference.
