Menu items error
January 20, 2013, 01:14:45 pm
Hello,
I've installed CiviCRM 4.2.7 with Joomla 2.5.8.
I have problems when I create a menu item of CiviCRM.
For example, I created an Event Listing type menu, but when I click it gives me the following error:
"CiviCRM-001
Sorry but we are not Able to Provide this at the moment.
Could not get details for Custom Search. "

The URL that is created by the menu is:
//localhost/miweb25/index.php?option=com_civicrm&view=Events&layout=eventlisting&html=1&page=1&Itemid=580

However, if I go to the CiviCRM administration, in the Event Dashboard facilitates the HTML link is:
//localhost/miweb25/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/event/ical&reset=1&list=1&html=1
And this link is working properly!

The two URLs are different, and that created by the menu fails.
Why fails the menu item?

I just tried this on one of my dev sites and it worked fine.
The urls are different because when generated via the menu tool it is passed through the menu router. But they are both valid.

Can you try creating a new menu item (not editing the old) for this type of page? Joomla has an oddity where it will sometimes retain parameter settings when you edit and change a menu type, and sometimes those will throw off the router.
