Hi,

When I define custom mappings for exporting of contacts, I can't find a way to sort the export by last name (like it is when they are listed)
Is there a way to do this in Civi, or my only option is to sort it when I pull it into the Excel spreadsheet.

I reiterate what pete said.  I would add that custom fields also will always appear at the end of the list as well and not in the order in which you list the fields you want to export.  That can be a bit more annoying then the column sort.
