fetch_activities: Process Activities failed
January 29, 2013, 12:37:42 am
On a CiviCRM 4.2.7 system under Administer...System Settings...Scheduled Jobs... when I run the job "fetch_activities" by selecting Execute Now I get the following result. Where can I start looking for the real error?

Parameters parsed (and passed to API method):
a:1:{s:7:"version";i:3;}

Full message:
Finished execution of Process Inbound Emails with result: Failure, Error message: Process Activities failed

The same thing with the same message.

Since http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/mailSettings?reset=1 isn't configured to accept in-bound email I can't do a full test, right? I think email cc'd to the civimail inbound email address should be added as an activity to the contacts. That is what I understood when I RTFM anyway.

I'm getting the same error. Odd. It had been working until recently.

So - I did the following:

- chown'd and chmod'd the custom directory like others had suggested, to no avail.
- changed the password on the ETAP account, to no avail
- upgraded from 4.2.4 to 4.2.7, to no avail

The only thing that worked:

- running bounce processing and ETAP from the same account.

I have no idea if this will work long-term.

The activity log gives no details on why the job failed, just that it did. Very odd.

The old email-to-activity processor seemed to work until I upgraded from 4.2.3 to 4.2.4; somewhere in there it ceased functioning. Also odd. (I upgraded in October, 2012, and only noticed now that it stopped working.)

I finaly managed to get cron working (with the help of our provider), and I am experiencing exactly the same error (on civicrm 4.3.4)

Parameters parsed (and passed to API method):
a:1:{s:7:"version";i:3;}

Full message:
Finished execution of Activity processor with result: Mislukt, Error message: Process Activities failed

Also the bounces fetcher fails with a 500 internal error.

Parameters parsed (and passed to API method):
a:1:{s:7:"version";i:3;}

Full message:
Starting execution of Bounces fetcher

Any ideas ?
Thanks
Wim

Is there anything we should additionally provide to make troubleshooting easier ?
Email bounce fetcher is working for me, but still this 'fetch activities' continues to fail ....   :'(

Hi lobo
Were getting the same result as wimvanaelst.

Do you know anyone who has this feature working so we could try and find out the secret to the setup?

Thanks
Dave
