Create multiple event within a event
January 31, 2013, 02:54:59 am
I want to create a seminar event, at the time of the registration user have to choose the workshops they want to participate. There is a maximum number for participating a specific workshop.
I created the main seminar event and the workshop events, but i could not be able to move the workshop events under the seminar. do you have any idea how can i do this task.

I am useing CiviCRM 4.2.7 with Joomla 2.5.

The requirement is something similar as the case study of the civiCRM blog named "Case Study: CiviCRM Multiple Event Registration"

Hi nasir8891,

I think you want to use a Price Set for your seminar event.  When you create a price set, you can configure multiple "options" for the event.  You can build one option for each workshop.  Price sets to allow you to configure a maximum number of participants for each option, and also an additional fee if you want.

Once you've built the price set and associated it with the seminar event, users will see all the options when they register.  With this method, there's no need to create a separate event for each workshop.
