I am having odd issues with time zones related to the Views monthly calendar page.     If I change the Drupal6 timezone to Australia/Melbourne, then the evening events on the monthly calendar page  produced by Views shows those events on the day after they happen. ( The upcoming events block is fine, and the CiviCRM event info page is fine.)  The php.ini file is set to date.timezone="Australia/Melbourne";

I read the suggestions at: http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,7761.0.html     and changed the Drupal6 timezone to "America/Chicago" then the monthly calendar page looks good.  However, the side affects are that the "blue" highlight for today is based on Chicago time. I also do not know what side effects changing the Drupal6 timezone to a different time zone than the organization (and users)  using this Drupal site.   

It seems like this was fixed ( http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-4427 ) but this fix does not appear to be working in this environment. Is there a newer patch or solution to this?

(CiviCRM is version 4.2.x and Drupal is 6.x)
